Somehow it escaped his mind that his Smeargle would prove a more accurate shot than his Tentacruel. Well, on paper anyway. Reluctant to do the course all over again, he brings his Pokemon over to his partners and has them engage in a drawn out TICKLE session to prepare for the shooting range.

This time, his Smeargle proves just as MOODY as he is.

there's only one thing to be done by his smeargle, and it's to copy the stat changes from the meowstic and psych up for the course.

and then comes the lull since the smeargle doesn't actually have any move to abuse the boosts with.

"let's get to work storms." as the name left his lips while his ninetails went to work kazimir almost bit his tongue. maybe he should have though that name over a little bit more, it did remind him of a certain silph sibling that wasn't ol' ferngully. oh well, his ninetails was psyched up and so should he. [attr="class","spiral"]With a complete rotation of confirmations, Fernando's Smeargle is PSYCHED UP to tackle on the course. Being able to user the water gun makes the whole experience seem more like a game than work. Even if they have to repeat it, the experience is much more enjoyable than the speed race. With a dopey smile, his Pokemon gleefully pumps out another shot of cold water.

everyone else seems to be focused now, except maybe kyle. the only move is to give the smeargle his weapon since that's what he's been doing for the previous runs and no one seems to object seeing a smeargle wield a weapon.

"aight, you know what to do."

the smeargle has been conditioned to use the weapon at this point. the aiming might need some work, but it's slowly coming together especially when compared to the first time it used it.

"battle routine seeeeeeet... both trainer and pokemon were ready and waiting for the targets to pop up as kazimir gripped his paintball gun and stormbreaker's mouth flashed with flames. the two were in the zone now and nothing was going to stop them. so when the first target crossed their line of sight the two of them were already sprinting like mad. After all, who's he to judge someone else for using his same method of concentration. Routine breeds consistency and they're looking for peak performance.

[attr="class","marcelThread"]the next few seconds are spent trying to hit one particularly difficult target; by the end of it, marcel gives up and moves on to another. a gentle nudge with his foot has his meowstic tackling the problem for him. he doesn't feel as bad as he expected--by this point, marcel thinks he's just waiting for the finishing buzzer.

kyle wonders when fernando will outgrow his battle routine set execute thing. it wasn't that he doesn't like it, but more like he's excited to what other thing he can replace it with.

kazimir was having a bit too much fun painting the targets red with the blood of...industrial paint? yeah that didn't sound as cool as it did in his head. still he was proving himself to be somewhat of a decent shot with it, perhaps it was the confidence that he had because of his partner and the rest of his team who seemed to be doing pretty well. "yeah, we should be able to do this no problem." he said before racing off to shoot down a few more.
